Little shocking! But yes Delhi people will have to pay more for parking from june onwards. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has passed a proposal to revise the existing parking rates in the New Delhi area.

From july, You will have to pay Rs.20 for the first hour, Rs.40 for two hours, Rs.60 for three hours, Rs.80 for four hours and Rs.100 for five to ten hours.

It means from july car parking may pinch you more than driving. Parking rates in New Delhi areas were last revised in 2004.

“People will only use multi-level parking lots when the tariff for surface-level parking is increased,” a source said.
