Amid controversy, Vishwaroop (Hindi) has finally been released in Delhi. Kamal Haasan plays a special RAW agent who keeps disguising. Most importantly, Vishwaroopam is not at all against any community.

Vishwaroopam is a 2013 Indian spy thriller film written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan who also enacts the lead role. The film has been made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi. The film has Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat in supporting roles. The Hindi version is called as Vishwaroop. The film features soundtrack composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics by Vairamuthu and Haasan himself while Javed Akhtar translated them for the Hindi version.

The film revolves around the Waazim (Kamal Haasan) who cleverly fools the Mujahideens in Afghanistan and give information of their hide-outs to American agencies. The movie is not up to the mark, but still an average one. Rahul Bose is playing as Mujahideen named ‘Omar’.

This is basically the story about the conflict between Americans and Mujahideens. At the end, Kamal Haasan with the help of FBI reveals the deadly plot of terrorists in the United States. Yeah…..Vishwaroopam 2 is also on the way as it was mentioned in the end.

I would give it 2.5 or 3 stars out of 5.

Please Note: Nothing has been said against any community in the movie. Movie about good and bad, and that can be in any community around the world. Kamal Haasan himself has played as a Muslim RAW agent who serves his country.

  1. Why a ban is being imposed on the movie?
