It ‘s a good news for the Electronics industry as some of the big players in this sector are looking for the candidates in their R&D department. The major among them is the Samsung which has decided to hire around 1,100 people this fiscal year. According to the president of the company , The immense intellectual power that India possesses, makes it a perfect destination for carrying out research activities from the standpoint of technology and innovation.
India has become a destination of choice as it is a cost-competitive nation, where hiring by multinational companies is at an all-time high. The nation is witnessing a talent war for engineers and technical professionals. Maruti Suzuki has plans to increase its R&D manpower by over 20 per cent to more than 1,300 in 2011-12.
At the moment around 2 lakhs engineers are involved in R&D department in the various companies. Panasonic which has started it’s R&D department this year is facing a talent crunch
