DLF is set to build India’s largest mega mall, a 4-million square feet promenade in Gurgaon.

Largest Real estate  builder of the country will invest Rs 2,000 crore on the project, which compares with the world’s largest 7-million sq ft New South China mall in Dongguan and is bigger than the 1.5-million sq ft Great India Place mall in Noida – the largest mall in India. The mall was originally planned in 2005 to be completed by 2007.

Analysts expect that over the next two years both the policies, for single and multi-brand retail, should be firmly in place and most of the fine tuning on the policy front should be completed, pushing brands to firm up plans for an India entry.

Surly China has a torrent of new ultra-large mega-malls. But what is happening in China will undoubtedly happen in India too 🙂
