As India faced its biggest blackout ever, Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was promoted to Home Minister on the same day. This decision irked many Indians. Some of them even said, “If you can’t fulfill your responsibilities as the Power Minister, how can you be given even better job in the government?”
It was very embarrassing day for India as the news of blackout was published all around the world. Power failure happened for two consecutive days still why Shinde was made Home Minister, asked many Indians on Twitter.
Corporate Affairs Minister Veerappa Moily has been given the additional charge of Power Ministry, which fell vacant after Shinde’s appointment as the Home Minister.
A further reshuffle is expected after the Monsoon Session of Parliament in September.
