Noida, Oct 16 (ANI): RTI crusader and India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday lashed out at the Haryana Government over transfer of IAS officer Ashok Khemka, saying it is extremely unfortunate that an honest officer has been transferred 40 times in the last 20 years.
” Ashok Khemka is a very honest IAS officer of Haryana. He has been transferred 40 times in the last 20 years. He ordered a probe into Robert Vadra’s land deals. He is the Inspector General of Land Records in Haryana. He was transferred soon after he ordered the probe,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal said Khemka, who is the Inspector General of Land Records in Haryana, was transferred soon after he ordered a probe into some of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra’s land deals with real estate giant DLF.
“I want to know from the Haryana Chief Minister that is there a policy in Haryana for transfer of IAS officers? He was transferred in three months. Does that transfer policy say that if you say anything against Vadra’s land then you will be transferred?” he added.
Khemka, who exposed widespread irregularities in land deals, was transferred out just three days after he ordered a probe into some of Robert Vadra’s land deals with real estate giant DLF.
Khemka issued an order on his last day in office on October 15, cancelling the mutation of a 3.531-acre plot of land in Manesar-Shikohpur that Vadra had sold to DLF for Rs. 58 crore.
Three days earlier, Khemka issued a letter formally ordering an inquiry across four districts into the alleged ‘under-valuation’ of some properties registered by Vadra or his companies. (ANI)
