B Raman blogs on Malegaon makes some interesting points which are also made by nationalists. He says GOI communalise the investigation for their political benefit. He writes “In the eyes of the Government of India, it is all right to be harsh with the Hindus, but not with the Muslims.

He also added “even of the Muslims will be out today and rejoin their families, but the Hindus will continue to languish in custody till the UP elections are over.“.  According to him, the charges made against the accused, both Hindu and Muslims, were merely based on uncorroborated confessions. He also said many terror investigations post 26-11 were not successfully  done by the investigating agencies.

B Raman is Additional Secretary (retd), Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India, also he was the former head of the counter-terrorism division of India’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He regularly writes about security, counter-terrorism and military issues regarding India and South Asia in his blog
