Bhopal, Mar 13 (ANI):Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said that he has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the killing of Indian Police Service ( IPS) officer Narendra Kumar Singh.
Chouhan said that he had passed the order on the insistence from the family of the deceased officer .
Singh, who was posted at Banmore as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), was crushed to death under the wheels of a tractor-trolley last Thursday, allegedly by a member of the mining mafia, when he tried to stop the vehicle which was illegally carrying stones at Banmore in Morena District.
The state government had earlier ordered a judicial probe in the matter. (ANI)
