China’s business travel market has overtaken the United States to become the largest in the world, the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has revealed. China to be largest video-game market in the world soon

China is expected to be the largest games market in the world, ahead of the US, whose anticipated market size is US$23.5 billion. Gamers worldwide are expected to generate a total of US$99.6 billion in revenue for the video games industry this year, an 8.5 per cent increase from 2015, with China accounting for a quarter of that income. Singapore becomes world’s third top financial centre: Survey

Singapore edged past Hong Kong to become the world’s third top financial centre, according to a survey by London-based research firm Z/Yen Group released last Wednesday. Singapore ranks behind London and New York, and two points ahead of Hong Kong on the Global Financial Centres Index. Tokyo came in fifth. Saudi Arabia becomes world's largest oil producer

Saudi Arabia topped the list of oil producers in the world during the first nine months of this year with production at 10.19 million barrels per day, for the first time since 2003. Saudi Arabia-based Al Eqtisadiah reports that the Kingdom’s daily production of crude oil during the first nine months of this year is the highest in its history, followed by 2012 when it reached an average daily of 9.8m barrels. Toyota has regained its status as the world’s largest automaker after temporarily losing it last quarter to Volkswagen. Pakistani people become 18th largest middle class worldwide: Report

Pakistan’s middle class consists of over 6.27 million people, according to Credit Suisse, a global financial services company. The study revealed that 14% of world adults constituted the middle class in 2015 and held 32% of world wealth. China’s middle class has overtaken the United States to become the largest in the world according to a comprehensive new report on the distribution of global wealth. Despite fears of a global growth slowdown in the emerging world, Asia is set to be the scene for the greatest expansion of the world’s middle class, said Credit Suisse, in its annual wealth report. Italy has overtaken France to become the world’s largest wine producer this year, according to European Union data. The figures submitted to the European Commission in mid-September show total output approaching 50 million hectolitres. One reason for the rise in Italian output is simply that the 2014 harvest was particularly bad due to the weather.
