I took this picture of a cop on Shankar Road, New Delhi at 5pm on 3rd April 2011. I always wonder, when will these poor Delhi Police Cops start wearing helmet ?
Law makers always become law breakers here. I see many cops daily riding their bikes and scooters without helmet on the roads. And they are supposed to maintain law and order. How can Delhi Police expect good from Delhiites, if they themselves are not following a law ? If the Police of India’s capital is such a lazy and law breaker then you can imagine the situation in other cities.
Beginning this week, international passengers flying out of IGI airport’s terminal 3 (T3) will be able to get a little high free of cost on ground itself by tasting whisky and other spirits from the duty free shop. The first of its kind move at an Indian airport to let passengers try and choose what they should buy will begin with Scottish single malt Talisker (12 year) that will be filled in a barrel specially flown in from the highlands. The Delhi Duty Free Service […]
A bridge (Near Punjabi Bagh cremation ground, opposite Punjab and National Bank ATM, B-block, Sudershan Park, New Delhi-110015) is encroached heavily, but Police and MCD haven’t been able to do much. It was built few years ago to ease commuters, but it is specially giving benefits to paper roll and car owners. Many complaints have been registered about this, and action has also been taken, but everything becomes the same again after 2-3 days. It has become a big nightmare for us, as we […]
I’ve been seeing big potholes at Rajdhani College’s Red Light in West Delhi near main Raja Garden Chowk for many many days now. And, I also see the trouble which people face while passing over. These potholes also create traffic jams because people have to slow down their vehicles to prevent damages. These types of negligences will not make Delhi a World class city. And, I’m sure that many people from the Government authorities would have passed over these many times, but still they don’t […]
The area near Grand Plaza and 7 Star banquet halls on shivaji marg is complete mess. If you wanna have a worst driving experience then drive your car on these roads. It will make you remember the real developing India. People have been facing problems for more than 1 year, but MP, MLA and Councillor don’t seem to be bothered about this. Yesterday, my own car’s leg bent down while driving on this worst road of Delhi. It is such a horrible road, and […]
WOW ! Who would say that this is the Capital of India ? This is the scene in front of State Bank of India, GT Road Shahdara. Until someone complains why these places full of dirt and filth cleaned immediately ? MCD has already earned so much money over the years but not willing to spend on development and cleanliness.
BJP on thursday warned Sheila Dixit’s government over privatising water supply and said this move will resisted strongly. “The Chief Minister has been trying to handover the Delhi Jal Board to the private companies. But she has not been able to do it because of our strong resistance. BJP will resist any move tooth and nail to privatise water supply,” Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta and Leader of Opposition in Assembly V K Malhotra said. The Delhi government yesterday set up a high-powered committee to […]
In West Delhi’s Sudershan Park, two months old baby fell off the 2nd floor and died after some time. Eyewitness is claiming that her drunk father intentionally threw her down. Last night, the residents of Sudershan Park were waiting outside their homes for the electricity to come. Suddenly they heard strange noise and they ran towards the next street where they found two months old baby lying in the pool of blood. Baby was immediately rushed to hospital where she died. Baby’s parents are claiming […]
Recently senior Congress leader Manoj Tiwari said on Times Now, “Police is ill-trained that’s why the crackdown at Ramlila Maidan was so brutal.” Even the other leaders from government, said sources, was trying to make the police a scapegoat, holding it responsible for the incident while commissioner of police B K Gupta is said to have conveyed to the home ministry that “he did his best to handle the situation”. The friction between the home ministry and Delhi Police came to the fore in a […]
Tihar Jail cooks are being trained to cook good South Indian food as there are many high profile people from South cooling their heels in the famous Jail. South Indian cuisine first appeared in the list of the canteen menu of Jail number one in February after former Telecom Minister and DMK leader A Raja was lodged there for his alleged role in 2G spectrum allocation scam, sources in the jail said. The canteen of Jail number one, four and six now serves both north […]
In another insane act of human being, boy’s love died before him but he was more concerned about her jewellery. A 22-year-old woman from Delhi succumbed to her injuries and her fiance miraculously escaped with minor injuries after their autorickshaw was knocked down by a speeding BMTC bus in Yeshwantpur on Sunday night. Investigating officials said Rasheed fled the scene with the victim’s jewels soon after she was taken to a nearby private hospital. The deceased, identified as Poonam Rajput, and her fiance, Rasheed, had […]
