goa tourist destination

Late summers and monsoons are usually the lean seasons for Goa, when you get cheap flight tickets and attractive hotel deals but still prefer the hills over the hot and humid beaches.

This time, however, Goa is attracting a huge number of tourists. Hotels are reporting 75-90% occupancies, as well as up to 15% increase in room rates compared with a year earlier.

A return trip from Delhi costs Rs 20,000 and from Mumbai, Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000 – a notch higher than it usually is. The lure of offseason hotel rates and unusually hot hills are making Goa’s beaches a preferred location for summer holidays this time.
